Over this term, the children have been learning about pattern. We discussed the definition of a pattern which is a shape that is repeated.
The children were tasked to create a series of patterns using sugar paper to cut out the shapes to create their patterns. They used a variety of methods. Some children chose to cut patterns from one single piece of paper, while others chose to cut each individual shape out and then assemble their pattern.
