During the summer term 24 children across Year 4 and 5 took part in The Brilliant Club. They attended seven tutorials across the term during which they discussed a range of questions based on their area of study. Year 4 studied Philosophy and at the end had to write an essay titled ‘What is fairness?’. While Year 5 studied Law and their essay was titled ‘What are rights?’. These essays were then marked by their tutor using university style marking.
The children worked extremely hard over the term. While they found parts of it challenging they persevered and completed their essays to a very high standard. This week they were delighted to learn what grade they got for their essay. A special mention goes to Eliza Islam (4W) and Winnie Sampong (4A) who both got a 1st in their essay.
Well done to all the children who took part.
