This week in English, Year 1 commenced our exploration of the delightful book ‘The Snail and the Whale’ by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. We thoroughly enjoyed examining the imagery on the book cover, acting out the roles of the characters we observed. Through engaging role play, we expressed our thoughts on what the characters might be feeling or saying. We eagerly anticipate delving deeper into the story in the weeks to come.
