Before half term, Year 3 learnt the song ‘Three Little Birds’ by the incredibly talented reggae artist Bob Marley and The Wailers. Many believe the track was inspired by Jamaican folklore and the idea of overcoming fear through faith. The lyrics convey a message of hope and encouragement to believe that everything will be alright.
Once the children had learnt the song, they were given the task of improvising over a backing track using up to five notes on their glockenspiels. They that started to compose by recording their ideas in pairs and will continue composing this week. We hope you enjoy watching what they have come up with so far below.
