They really do grow up fast!

As soon as your child starts year 6 you have to think about choosing a secondary school place. The transition from year 6 to year 7 is a big one for both children and parents.

Children start to want more independence as they enter adolescence and your lovely smiling bundle of joy can often become almost unrecognisable as their emotions become more intense.  You won’t know whats happened to them and they certainly wont!

We are very lucky to be able to offer year 6 parents a FREE 5 week course to help you and your child navigate this difficult period.

The course is being hosted in school by the borough Education Psychology Team and  will cover  the following topics.

  •  Active listening skills
  •   Parenting styles
  •   Managing expectations
  •   Managing challenging behaviour
  •  Communication

The course will help you  manage challenging behaviours  and promote better communication with your child.

To find out more and to sign up for the course please come along to the information Coffee Morning  9am Tuesday 11th September  in the Parent Room.

If you are unable to attend the coffee morning or would like to know more details about the course please contact Nicky 07956458202
