First, review your knowledge of rhythmic syllables.
Ta=1 beat
Ti= 1/2 beat
Ti-ka= Two 1/2 beats or 1 beat
Using 4 beats per bar and these syllables, you can make up rhythm patterns. Join me in composing some rhythm patterns. Try playing them on an instrument of your choice.
If you don’t have an instrument at home, use a toy or a house hold item (with an adults’ permission). Can you make up your own rhythm pattern?
