This week, Year 1 concluded our Religious Education unit on belonging to Christianity with an enlightening visit to St Alban’s Church. During our visit, Reverend Bailey shared valuable insights about the baptism ceremony, demonstrating the process with her doll. We were very excited and asked numerous questions about the various elements we observed. Highlights included the stunning stained-glass window and the exquisite prayer cushions. Additionally, Reverend Bailey introduced us to the Easter candle, which is used to light the candles during baptisms. Overall, the visit was immensely enjoyable and provided us with a tangible connection to the concepts we have been exploring in class.
