On Monday and Tuesday this week, Year 2 were lucky enough to have visitors in to see us from Ford. We have spent the last few months researching and learning about the Ford Motor Company, and its impact on Dagenham. It was great to meet people who could tell us some extra information about the company and answer our questions.
- Jayden’s grandad Mr Barker has worked at Ford for over 30 years! He told us all about the different roles he has held in Ford Motor Company.
- Tarik and Shuna were Engineering Interns, and they helped us see just how important the production line is, by playing a ‘production line game’ with us, and then they spoke in a lot of detail about the impact Ford has had on our local area.
Amazing Fact: – Did you know that the Ford plant in Dagenham is over 1 mile long, and 1 mile wide!
Overall it has been a fantastic few days finalising our learning on Ford and Dagenham. Now we can begin to assemble our Exhibition, ready to be displayed at Valence House Museum between the 18th December and the 2nd January.
