This week the children have been learning about weather changes and climates. They have been engaged in different stimulating activities throughout the week, for example, labelling and designing maps, role play of a weather forecaster and making their very own tornado.
Weather forecaster: The children watched videos of different weather forecasters. Then they worked in pairs to practise their role play and presented it to the class.
Tornado: To create their very own the tornado, the children followed the following procedure:
1. Fill the plastic bottle with water until it reaches around three-quarters full.
2. Add a few drops of dishwashing liquid.
3. Sprinkle in a few pinches of glitter (this will make your tornado easier to see).
4. Put the cap on tightly.
5. Turn the bottle upside down and hold it by the neck.
