The new school year is off to a fantastic start, and we are thrilled to see how wonderfully the children have settled in! This week, we kicked off our first activity with the delightful book If I Built a School by Chris Van Dusen. The story inspired the children to imagine what their dream school could look like, filled with creativity and excitement.
Following the reading, the children dove into building their dream schools out of LEGO bricks. It was amazing to see their imaginations come to life through their innovative designs! From classrooms in treehouses to rollercoasters between lessons, their ideas were as fun as they were unique.
Afterward, we gathered for a discussion on what makes the perfect school. The children shared their expectations, from friendly teachers and exciting lessons to fun play areas and places to explore. Their enthusiasm and energy have set the tone for a year filled with learning, discovery, and lots of fun.
