Our Year 3 students are fully immersed in their Stone Age learning, and this week was an absolute blast! Did you know that Stone Age people were the first to wear clothes? Inspired by this fascinating fact, we decided to try our hand at dyeing fabric just like they did thousands of years ago!

Armed with stones, berries, flowers, and even cabbage, the children had a fantastic time grinding, bashing, and smushing to create their natural dyes. The excitement in the air was contagious as they transformed plain t-shirts into colourful, Stone Age-inspired creations!

It was a fantastic learning opportunity too. The children got a real sense of how tough life must have been without the modern comforts we have today. The hard work that went into creating something as simple as clothing really made them appreciate how far we’ve come!

We can’t wait to show off our hand-dyed shirts this Friday during our special Stone Age workshop. It’s going to be an unforgettable experience for us all! Stay tuned for more Stone Age adventures!
