Our focus this half term is WW2, and this week our attention focused on the ‘Battle of Britain’ and the Blitz.
We considered what life must have been like for people living through the war and we tried to put ourselves in younger children’s positions – living through WW2 and the regular German bombing campaigns, over Great Britain.
We staged a mock role play of an air raid in 1940. To prepare for this we made gas masks, blacked out our windows and created an air raid protocol.
