What a fantastic afternoon, enjoyed by all!
We all had the most fantastic time – showcasing our sporting prowess to all who came to watch. We competed in events such as the ‘ dribbling Race’ , ‘Sack Race’ and as finale, the ‘Straight Sprint Race’. All of these events enabled us to show off the hard work we have all put in to our PE sessions over the course of this year, with our fantastic sports leaders.
Can we take this opportunity to firstly thank all of the Mums, Dads and family who came to cheer for and support their little ones. Your support was very much appreciated from all the staff and children. Additionally, can we also thank the fantastic Mr Francis and Mr Collymore (plus all of the year 6 helpers), who put together a fantastically organised afternoon on the sports field, one we all enjoyed tremendously.
As with all sporting endeavours, there has to be a winner and some… ‘non-winners.’ The victorious house this year was Mayesbrook. Well done to you all!
I’m sure you’ll agree that all of the children were the winners this afternoon, and Becontree and Longbridge have all vowed to come back stronger next year and try to win the trophy for themselves.
