Making Wind-up Mechanisms
Wow! What an amazing time we had on Thursday in our science workshop! This was part of our science week. We have been doing lots of fun science activities this week and these wind-up mechanisms were part of it. First the children explored wind-up mechanisms and described what they could see happening using lots of amazing scientific vocabulary. Then it was time to have a go themselves! Good teamwork was an essential skill that the children needed to show throughout the task, as well as decision making – what would they test? who would make what? how would they make it a fair test?
