Our amazing Year 5 and 6 singers are preparing to perform alongside the BBC Symphony Orchestra at the CBeebies Proms at the Royal Albert Hall at the end of term. We are hard at working learning the ‘Humming Chorus’ from the romantic opera Madame Butterfly, by the Italian composer Giacomo Puccini.
Today we spent the morning rehearsing with the BBC and other local Primary Schools. We did lots of fun actvities, learned some new music, and even got to help lead!
The Proms are an eight week celebration of the best classical music. It is a huge honour that we have been invited to take part.
