In April our Queen stated, ‘We should take comfort that while we may have more still to endure, better days will return: we will be with our friends again; we will be with our families again; we will meet again.’ On Friday, Year 6 did just that. We came together for one last time as a year group to say goodbye to our friends and their teachers.
This year has been a strange year to say the least. The covid-19 pandemic has robbed us of times spent together and some of our experiences. But we have got through it safely and we had one last chance to say goodbye to everyone and wish them well in their next stage of their journey, in secondary school.
It also gave us an opportunity to say a special goodbye to Mr Sheffle who is leaving Monteagle after 7 years. All the children love Mr Sheffle and wants to be in his class. He is adored by children and adults a like. He will be missed.
The teachers at Monteagle are very proud to see how you have grown up, gained knowledge and are well-prepared for secondary school. We wish you every luck and look forward to hearing of your many achievements in future years.
