Our Year 6 girls football team has continued their unbeaten streak this season with an impressive 3-0 victory in the Appleyard 5-a-side competition. It was a very competitive match against Roding but the girls showed incredible determination and skill to secure the win.
Week by week, they’re improving, learning the importance of maintaining a positive work rate and developing a deeper understanding of the game. And while playing in winter can be tough – particularly when you can’t feel your fingers from the cold (who knew gloves could be such a lifesaver!) – the team pushed through with great spirit.
We’re thrilled to announce that the team is now through to the last 8 of the Ballerz League and has made it to the quarter-finals of the 5-a-side competition. Something tells us this is just the beginning for this team!
Well done to all the players for their hard work and commitment. We couldn’t be more proud of what they’ve achieved so far. Keep it up, girls!
