Last Friday ,children in year 6 attended the BBC Ten Pieces event held at the Barbican Centre. Ten Pieces is an initiative for schools, led by BBC Learning and the BBC Performing Groups that aims to open up the world of classical music to children and inspire them to develop their own creative responses.
The children listened to a large orchestra play and learned about the different sections of the orchestra and got an opportunity to experience 10 classical pieces.
