In Year One, we have been using our scientific investigation skills to build our own miniature circuses. Last week we investigated waterproof materials. We discovered that plastic is a sensible material to make the big top from.
This week, we learned how the circus is built using scaffolds. We practised sitting in a ring and realised that the seats need to be built up high so that everyone can see. We then used cubes and plastic to create our own circus rings. We needed to experiment with sizes, heights and lengths to make the perfect circus!
