Week 4 & 5 – Windmills & Torches
Over the last two weeks, the STEM club have constructed fully operating windmills and compact mini torches. The children have created different designs, attempting their own as unique as possible.
We have continued to see fantastic team work, perseverance and cooperation in the STEM club and it is great to see the children still just as excited to arrive and start at 3:30pm on a Friday afternoon, as they were at the beginning of the year.
Along with the fun, we have considered a few of the STEM PRINCIPLES along the way: MOTION, FORCES, ENERGY & ELECTRICITY.
Lastly, I want to say a big thank you to Miss Darcy and the whole Year 6 team who have stepped up and helped me cover the club when I have been out on courses and training over the last few weeks. They complimented our scientists very highly!
See you all on Friday,
Mr Sheffle
